How complex is the implementation?2015-06-10T11:57:52+01:00

The installation and implementation of Platform Manager is simple and easy. After the intake we will install and configure Platform Manager. Mostly the same day we are able to load the first applications into Platform Manager. The current structure of your BusinessObjects CMS, QlikView or Qlik Sense server does not have to change. We just load the folder structure making it more easy for you to start since you already know your way around this folder structure.

Will Platform Manager help with Compliance?2015-06-10T13:22:15+01:00

Compliance is getting more important everyday and we see that nowadays more companies have to comply to regulations. Platform Manager helps with compliance in many ways. First of all the entire life-cycle of all applications is audited and available for auditors by just running a report. So what you can see is when an application was changed, who changed it, when it was tested by whom and when it was promoted to production and by whom. Platform Manager can report when a specific application was being used in production.

Secondly the Metadata Repository is open and many Customers have built there own dashboards to report on their BI Development and Promotion process. Finally the ability to define privileges at almost every level, the segregation of duties and the ability to isolate Production servers from Developers all contribute to better compliance.

I already have a Version Control solution. Is Platform Manager still useful for me?2015-06-10T13:14:25+01:00

Yes! Version Control is just a small part of what we offer. Our Customers most value the Analyses capabilities that makes it much easier and faster to implement and test changes. Analyses also help you with promoting the right components including all dependencies. Our Release Management helps you with putting all related files together and treat them as a single application. The integrated workflow is also very powerful and enables you to enforce that applications are tested before publishing them to your business users.
